The sliding bike rack system is a newly designed bicycle storage solution, the core concepts of the design lies in the coordinated interaction between the rail and the wheels. During the installation, the rails are fixed to the ground.Both ends of each bicycle rack are equipped with wheels: the front wheels engage with the guiding rails to ensure the smoothness of the movement of the rack, while the back casters provide multi directional support. The cooperation of the front and the back wheels enables the sliding bike rack to move left and right easily.
The Traditional Commercial Bike Rack often creates operational inefficiencies. When the bike parking space are fully occupied,the handlebars of bicycles often interfere with each other,resulting in difficulties for cyclist to retrieve their bikes, especially during the peak hours at transportation stations ,campus and the office building. The sliding bike rack are design to solve this problem. The rail of the sliding bike rack system leaves a section of public space, with this space cyclists can move the rack to both side to free up enough space to park or retrieve their bikes easily. This flexible movement greatly improves the cyclist experience and the efficiency in parking and retrieving the bicycles.
The sliding bike rack system not only solves the difficulties in retrieving the bikes but also has good performance in space utilization. With a length of 10 meters as an example, we will have 35 pieces of bicycle parking spaces by installing sliding bike racks.In comparison ,a conventional Dual Height Cycle Racks can only accommodate a maximum of 28 bike parking spaces. By using the sliding bike rack system,the parking efficiency can be increased by more than 25%.
To ensure the durable use of the sliding bike racks, we have some requirements for the floor.
First of all, the floor must be a reinforced concrete structure with a thickness of at least 10 centimeters. Under this floor conditions, the system will be strongly supported.
Secondly, the sliding bike rack is recommended to be installed on a smooth surface to ensure the castors can glide smoothly and prolong the life of the castors. If the surface of the floor cannot meet this requirement, we provide a profession solution to address it.
